So while I kind of think it's a clever idea, I would never buy one. I've actually never seen an artificial tree with those fake leaves at the bottom of the pole. But it still doesn't bother me because again, you can't ever really see the bottom of the pole. Now most are metal, which also dark green. We were never bothered by it though, the branches were pretty low and we had a tree shirt that covered the very bottom. The pole of the tree back in the eighties actually looked more real, because it was wood painted dark green. We always had a fake tree when I was a kid and I still use one now. I wish him well considering he was doing it to honor his grandfather's legacy. I just thought it looked classy and elegant. Yes, the price point is high, but that tree really isn't for everyone and that's ok. I can see higher end department stores getting these for sure. If I had a modern style home, had the money and had my way (my husband would hate it) I would totally have one of those. I feel like it would just ruin the record. The record player thing- I don't have anything else to add. If I WERE to buy one, I wouldn't get the fake wood covered one, I'd get a colorful, fun one. I actually kind of liked the striped one. Either way, Kevin didn't have to be so rude. I'd have thought they would've fixed that by now. I do remember when we had our fake tree (about 20 years ago) thinking the "trunk" was really ugly. While I didn't necessarily love the cover to the fake tree stand, I thought Kevin was a straight up asshole about it. Why would you need the Comfy on your ride home if it's cold? Wouldn't you already have a jacket on? Also, only children and some smaller people can comfortably pull their knees to their chest for any length of time. Like someone else mentioned above, you'd get overheated very fast. I do not, however, want to wear it as a sweatshirt and do things in it. I have a blanket made out of the exact same material as that Comfy.
